Join us on an unforgettable guided mountain day as we climb Scafell Pike, highest mountain in England, via one of the most scenic and rewarding routes – from Borrowdale via Styhead Tarn and the Corridor Route, descending through the beautiful Grains Gill valley.
Led by a fully qualified Mountain Leader, this 9-mile route offers a mix of breathtaking views, rugged Lakeland scenery, and a great sense of adventure. Whether you’re aiming to tick off a bucket list summit or simply experience the thrill of a high mountain walk in good company, this guided day is the perfect way to do it safely and enjoyably.
What to Expect:
- We’ll meet on the morning of the walk at a location in Borrowdale (exact time and meeting point will be confirmed upon booking).
- From there, we’ll begin the ascent towards Styhead Tarn, a picturesque mountain lake, before continuing up the famous Corridor Route—a dramatic and well-loved path that threads its way beneath towering crags.
- After reaching the summit of Scafell Pike (978m) and taking in the panoramic views (weather permitting), we’ll descend via Grains Gill, a scenic route that leads back into the Borrowdale valley.

- Walks are weather dependent and the route may be altered on the day for safety reasons. Your guide will choose the most appropriate path based on current conditions.
- Please ensure you have a good level of fitness, as this is a challenging mountain walk.
