Ullswater Way Backpacking

The #Ullswater way is a circular walk going a round Ullswater in the #LakeDistrict, the walk was thought of to help local business recover from floods which had damaged, the floods were that bad they caused wide spread damage.

Lake Ullswater is 9 miles long,  0.75 miles wide it has a maximum depth of 60 metres, it is Englands 2nd longest lake after #Windermere Highlights include views of #Highstreetmountain  range and #Helvellyn 3rd  highest mountain in England, the walk goes past Aira Force, a Bronze age cockpit and a Iron age farmstead

The walk is a #guidedwalk led by Mark Killala an experienced #MountainLeader with plenty of knowledge and experience in the #LakeDistrict

We backpack the walk over 2 days  11 miles each day we start in Pooley Bridge and overnight in Patterdale/ Glenridding area then the following day back to Pooley Bridge

The walk will leave you feeling refreshed, energised, and relaxed it will blow away the cobwebs ready for the week ahead, the walk makes an ideal #walkingweekend a good# introduction to #backpacking the route is not two long your or two hard it make an ideal walk to walk as a #group  and #explore the Lake District along with meeting great like mined people
