Helvellyn is England’s 3rd Highest Mountain, there are no easy ways up, easier to get to then Scafell Pike it has awe inspiring views exciting adventurous ways up like Striding Edge a razor sharp arete, chosen as the mountain the fell top assessors do there reading in winter  lots of people are drawn to the Mountain including Poets, Painters and film makers. In 2018  it was chosen as Britain’s favourite walk

Renowned film maker Terry Abraham spent a year making a film about Helvellyn capturing its season, moods, wildlife and the beauty of the area with insights to those who care for the mountain. The film Life of a Mountain a year on Helvellyn is being shown on tv and that is on Tuesday 26th January 2021 on BBC4 at 9pm
