Description
Yorkshire 3 Peaks in 12 hours
The challenge is to walk all three of these mountains in 12 hours! The total distance is 24 miles with an overall ascent of 1600 meters and offers a tremendous sense of achievement.
Experience the camaraderie with like minded people as you share the sense of complete fulfilment. Many of our walkers use the event to raise money for their chosen charity.
You will burn up to 7,000 calories and use 3 to 5 litres of water. You will not get lost as the event is fully guided by a mountain leader.
Challenge Itinerary
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge starts from Ribblehead Climb in Whernside then onto Ingleborough. From there we walk into Horton after which we climb the final mountain, Pen-y-Ghent.
If people have had enough when we get to Horton there’s a train station where people can get back to Ribblehead by themselves.
