Guided Walk – Scafell Pike from Borrowdale

Walk length: 9 miles

Cost: £50 per person

Join us on an unforgettable guided mountain day as we climb Scafell Pike, highest mountain and tallest peak in England, via one of the most scenic and rewarding routes – from Borrowdale via Styhead Tarn and the Corridor Route, descending through the beautiful Grains Gill valley.

Led by a fully qualified Mountain Leader, this 9-mile route offers a mix of breathtaking views, rugged Lakeland scenery, and a great sense of adventure. Whether you’re aiming to tick off a bucket list summit or simply experience the thrill of a high mountain walk in good company, this guided day is the perfect way to do it safely and enjoyably.

What to Expect:

  • We’ll meet on the morning of the walk at a location in Borrowdale (exact time and meeting point will be confirmed upon booking).
  • From there, we’ll begin the ascent towards Styhead Tarn, a picturesque mountain lake, before continuing up the famous Corridor Route—a dramatic and well-loved path that threads its way beneath towering crags.
  • After reaching the summit of Scafell Pike (978m) and taking in the panoramic views (weather permitting), we’ll descend via Grains Gill, a scenic route that leads back into the Borrowdale valley.

Important Information:

  • Walks are weather dependent and the route may be altered on the day for safety reasons. Your guide will choose the most appropriate path based on current conditions.
  • Please ensure you have a good level of fitness, as this is a challenging mountain walk.
  • You’ll need to bring appropriate clothing, footwear, and food for a full day in the mountains. A recommended kit list will be provided upon booking.
  • Group sizes are kept small to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Come along for a memorable day in the Lake District National Park, with friendly, like-minded walkers and expert guidance every step of the way.
