Product Description
Helvellyn and Striding Edge from Glenridding – 11 Miles
Join us for a rewarding mountain day on one of the Lake District’s most well-known routes. This guided walk covers around 11 miles and includes the famous Striding Edge, a Grade 1 scramble. It is a great option for those looking to enjoy a challenge while taking in some of the best views in the area.
The Route
Starting from Glenridding, we begin with a steady climb to the summit of Birkhouse Moor. From there, we head towards Striding Edge, passing Hole-in-the-Wall along the way. The ridge offers an exciting but manageable scramble, leading us up to the summit of Helvellyn.
After reaching the top, we continue across to Raise before descending via Sticks Pass. A clear path then leads us back towards the finish. Throughout the walk, you will experience a mix of open fell, rocky terrain and classic Lakeland scenery.
